Hey Guys!
New member here!
I found this slug years ago in N.C. & I am trying to figure out what type it is. It looks close to a Nessler, but this one clearly has 2 rings & a stem on the bottom. It matches up nice to a .69 cal. bullet, so I figure that's what cal. it is. Any Ideas?

Good Idea R.Porter! Here's what it showed, plus some other pictures. The cleaner was 22.2 grams & the slug was 24.1 grams without a disk on the bottom. Also, the high impact seems to be on the flat side of the slug.

Type in "grams to grains" on Google, plug in the slug weight, 24.1 grams and you get 371.92 grains.

For the the above Williams, 22.2 grams gives 342.60 grains.

The slug doesn't have a plunger while the Williams does which will cause a difference.

I don't have a type 2. Also, those are 3 ringers, correct?
Yes, but there appears to be material beneath the two rings that may have been where a third ring could have been.

There are only a few bullets with a stem, Williams, Tranter, Sharps & Hawkins, immediately come to mind, but of those, only the Williams have the stem inserted like yours.
