62 Tower marking?

Hey y'all, I bought this Enfield this week from a widow whose husband did a little CW reenacting. It is a clean machine but I noticed this odd indention on the butt plate. Probably nothing but figured I'd post it to make sure. Punched the bore and there is some faint rifing left so it probably can do some shooting if state militias get called up in 2020.

Interesting marks. I not sure what they are as they really don't appear to be stamping. Let's see if we can find out what they are. paging @Lanyard Puller and @Craig L Barry.

You can rule out any kind of makers marks or inspection stamps. So just another unexplained addition that could mean anything or nothing.
