Hello All,
I discovered this forum while searching for my GG GF's service in the 5th AL, Co. C. I am amazed will the amount and depth of information that members have so freely shared to help others. To have so much knowledge dedicated to one website is extraordinary. I spent weeks reading before I joined.

I am in the golden years of my life and hope I have time left to learn as much as I can about the service of my ancestors in the CSA and leave a legacy that honors each one.

I live in AL and graduated from the University of Alabama, a long time ago.

The more information you can provide about your ancestors, the more information folks can provide. Name obviously. But also if you know any of the following- their approximate year of birth, place of birth, place they were living when the War started, regiment, etc. Those details can be handy.
