So I will answer Gen. Joseph Hooker.

Edit - Although you presented a source that appears to support the answer, it looks as though the source was proofread carelessly (if it was proofread at all) and I believe the statement "Hooker's favorite was a tall white horse named Moscow" is in error.

The website says "Lookout was acquired by Maj. Gen. Joseph Hooker at Chattanooga. Maj. Gen. Hooker cherished this horse. Maj. Gen. Philip Keaney had several horses that he rode during this conflict. Hooker's favorite was a tall white horse named Moscow."

The second sentence indicates that Lookout was Hooker's favorite, while the fourth indicates that Moscow was his favorite. In between, there is a statement about Philip Kearny (whose name is spelled incorrectly), indicating that Kearny had several horses but saying nothing about which was his favorite. Then, instead of going on to tell us who Kearny's favorite horse was, it goes back to Hooker.

Other websites, such as this one http://www.civilwartalk.com/threads/moscow.3302/, indicate that Moscow was Kearny's favorite, and also go on to mention that his staff warned him about riding such a conspicuous horse. I can't find any other source indicating that Hooker had a horse named Moscow that he favored over Lookout, or that Hooker's staff warned him about the danger.

I think the author of the blog you cited meant to say that Kearny's favorite, not Hooker's, was Moscow.
