2016 September to Remember Gettysburg

@W. Richardson I was there! It's hard to believe it was four years ago! I will never forget @rpkennedy and @Frums kindness in taking us under their wing the first night. We had just arrived and had no idea where to go for dinner and they allowed us to tag along. Hopefully everyone who participated in the event will see this thread and check in! @War Horse @FarawayFriend @Eric Wittenberg @pamc153PA @1stMN @Tom Elmore

It is wonderful to know you are still here my friend. It was so special to meet you, your husband, and your dog, who's name I can not remember. I do hope all is well with you and your family. 4 years ago, such great memories were made.

Respectfully,
William

I'm also still here.
It was great to meet you all there and I've even met @John Winn and his lovely wife Andrea before and after, which was also great.
The unexpected walk back from the Angle with @PeterT which was also very nice, although we were late for dinner...
I still remember the tearful goodbye I said to @War Horse and his girlfriend Donna that evening in front of the restaurant, because Dirk and I had just discovered we could not partake in Eric's tour on Sunday, because we would miss checkout time.
Back then I thought I would be able to attend next year's meeting and the following ones, and I looked forward to them because James N. wanted to show me his WWII Soldbooks... now I'm afraid it might have been a once in a lifetime event.
Well, as Paul McCartney said "you cannot reheat a soufflé" - that weekend had been perfect. @W. Richardson, thanks for bringing this up again. We had but a short time together in person, but lasting friendships were made.
And yes, I still miss @brass napoleon also. RIP, Ron!!
