1862 Springfield Hammer

Hello, I have a 1862 Springfield. My hammer has a small cut out area that encompasses part of the cap ,closest to the mussel. 2 questions.
#1 I am not tech savy and can NOT figure out how to upload pictures to this site. I have them on my phone but for the life of me I can't seem to download to show you guys. Please help.
#2 is this small cut out normal? A friend has a 1863 without this cut out area on his, plus being a 63 he has a different hammer. Interesting his gun has a 63 barrel and the 63 bands but a 62 lock plate I believe it must be a early 63 . Have pictures of it also I would share if I can.

My 1861 (1862) Springfield cartouces are not as nice as my friends. Grrrr

Clarification, I was talking about HIS 61, and the 55's had the cut out, just like my original 61 does, wasn't too concerned about the 63's/64's, or any other model of Springfields, OTHER than 55's/61's.
