This is my Dixie Gun Works 1861 Springfield replica, 1st year of production (two digit SN.) with a few things I use in historical displays. the Springfield is great and balances well, but the ramrod bent easily in stacking arms. The ramrod is made from 3 pieces with the swell being one piece. The fired rounds I picked up from the backstop at the rifle range I used to go to.

plus if someone didn't stack arms correctly and they fell over guess who lose his front sight. Me at least twice and one time the Bum didn't even apologize! :furious: :cry: 😭
 
I like all those shot and deformed bullets - I remember being impressed when I read about how the trenches at Petersburg were "mined" after the War for all the tons of lead from the bullets in the earth after so many months of siege.
