Found these on Facebook. The 1821 and 25 shako patterns. These "Tarbucket" shakos would have been worn for dress and fatigue from 1821-1825 (the 1851-58 shako was also supposed to be worn universally, though old 1839 forage cap were provided) until the adoption of the "chakos" forage cap in 1825. These shakos were worn until 1832, though the Marines wore them from 1823-1859.
