Williams cleaner bullet

That's a Williams cleaner bullet--I think a type II. The concave zinc disk at the base was supposed to clean power and lead residue from the barrel; at least from the lands, not sure if the disk was supposed to expand into the grooves and clean them, too. Evidently these cleaner bullets weren't held in high regard; less accurate than normal minie balls and they didn't seem to clean the barrel very well.
