Will there be a campaigner adjunct?
The short answer is yes, but I must emphasize this is not a campaigner event. We have mainstreamers and campaigners from all over committed to this event. However, we do have a minimum standard of correctness. We are not going to be counting any threads but we are also not going to let anything wildly incorrect stand either. After consideration of myself and the CS Commander, and their willingness to switch gears with another impression to cover all three days, the CS Campaigner Battalion has received their assignment. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1415823855569564

Thanks for the link, my group will be very interested in this. We'll be together in Cedar Creek in a few weeks and see what everyone wants to do.

I am looking for a Confederate unit to fall in with that i get along with. I hear about all the different Federal units getting the men but not the Confederates. I would prefer to be w/ a group that is campaingners liked minded

My guys are leaning towards this one, when we're all together at Cedar Creek in a couple weeks we're going to talk about what everyone wants to do. You're welcome with us if we go.

yeah i get that from another group ive talked to and fell in with a couple of events. seems like that Pacs dont like anv and vise versus. I could care less who they are with and who they are as group.

This is the event to be at guys. We have a producer from Netflix interested in filming a documentary on the reenactment, and also a few actors from the movie Gettysburg planning to attend as well. A meet and greet kinda thing. As of right now, we have over 3,000 reenactors on the CS side alone, planning to participate. Not as many Federals, but they are starting to mobilize too. It is not even 2023 yet. A far cry from the 500 combined at the 160th Antietam a couple weeks ago. The early indication is, it is going to be like events of the past. Don't miss out!

I'm interested; federal mainstreamer here. But not affiliated with a unit yet. My impression is union pvt. and I'm happy to just fall in and be a part of the blue line.

Would any Union regiments be willing to take on an individual? PM welcome.

Anyone that registers as an individual will be placed in a regiment as needed. You will then be contacted by your chain of command. That goes for the CS side as well. If you are a campaigner, let them know that on the registration form and you will be placed accordingly.

Hello from Germany,
I wanted to ask if it would be possible to visit the Sutler without attending your event? Since I'm coming from Germany, I'd be happy if I could still buy a few things there. Because a weekend later everything else will probably be sold out. And I don't want to have made the long journey for nothing.

Best Regards
Andre

Sutlers at events are usually open to the public. Also several of the big name sutlers have shops in Gettysburg, S&S, Regimental Quartermaster, Maryland Sutler, Button Baron, and Dirty Billy's Hats to name a few. You'll have plenty of opportunities to part with your $$$$ 😀
