12th KY US items

Hello all! I'm searching for anybody that may have documents, images, or any relics associated with the 12th KY infantry, US. My 4 great grandfather was a member and I've been on the hunt for anything related to them. Thanks all.
@JTkentucky12th why don't you start a thread in the Regimental Histories forum on the 12th Kentucky Infantry Regiment US. This way you can keep all the information consolidated in one spot so all forum members can enjoy it.

Done. Thanks for the suggestion! Hopefully somebody on here knows something or has items related to them!

I have a couple of dropped bullets I found in eastern TN a few years ago that were most likely left by them. From what I remember, they carried Ballard carbines, and they were the only ones that had them at this particular camp. I'm sorry, but I would rather not come off of them.

That's awesome! I'd sure love to see pics! At least it's something! Lol

Sorry it is not the best photo, but this is them. I even made sure to mark my case as them being from the 12th kentucky camp. The dirt on the right was a perfect imprint of where the one came out of the ground.

In my Wilmington bullets case I have 3 canister balls recovered near the position of the Edenton Bell Battery at the site of the Battle of Town Creek (February 21st, 1865), the 12th Kentucky in particular took devastating fire from this battery and are credited with capturing it.
