After studying the list of the class of 1841 and 1846 - I am going with 1841, although according to my sources, the class of 46 actually had 2 more listed, however, CSA General Birkett Fry, attended West Point, but was dismissed for failing mathematics and never graduated with his class, and USA General Charles Gilbert, served as an acting general but it was never confirmed by the Senate. Therefore the number 22 (subtracting the aforementioned) leaves it with 20 - while the Class of 1841 had 21. (Although my 3rd source claims it's the class of 1846 - however the question asks for graduates and generals.) - but this is the best I can do.

Class of 1846 had 20 future generals, including McClellan, Jackson, Couch and Pickett. (though according to http://thomaslegion.net/unitedstatesmilitaryacademy.html the class of 1841 also had 20, including Reynolds, Garnett, Wright, Lyon and Buell)
I went with 1846 because of it having 2 of the most famous generals in it (Jackson and McClellan).

I am going with the class of 1846 since it is "famous" for the number of generals (22 including one dismissed but not counting Gibbon and Hill who both graduated a year later).

The class of 1841 is also showing 21 generals but does not seem to have the same "fame" as the class of 1846.

The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY had a significant role during the American Civil War 1861-1865, especially the class of 1846. Ten members of the class became Confederate generals, twelve became Union generals; three of the Confederates and one of the Unionists were killed or mortally wounded in action during the Civil War. There were 34 men graduated in 1846,

Although the question doesn't ask this, I'm guessing we should be indicating which class had the most grads who became generals. If that's the question, I'm going with the Class of 1846 (22 generals total).
