I have it that these three muzzle-loading artillery pieces listed here are basically in opposite order of their weight?

1. 20-pounder Parrott rifle tube was 1,750 pounds with a field carriage of 1,175 pounds, yes?
2. The brass/bronze M1841 24-pound howitzer (hope that's the right one?) apparently weighted some 1,318 pounds with a carriage of 1,128 lbs.
3. The M1857 "Napoleon" 12-pounder gun weighted some 1,227 lbs. and used a carriage of 1,128 pounds.

I'm wondering if the density of wood and so on could change the weight of the carriage? Certainly true of muskets...
