Dr. Anson Henry, Lincoln's physician and friend. He died, presumed drowned in the sinking of the Brother Jonathan on July 30, 1865. His body was never identified among the bodies recovered after the sinking.

I just saw the second part of question: Dr. Anson G Henry drowned when his ship sank off the coast of California in 1865.

He would be killed on July 30 1865 while he was traveling through Panama to California, when his ship - encountered a storm - struck a submerged rock - off St. George Reef off Crescent City California - 200 people on board - 19 survived - he was not one of them.
