I note that you made a profile post asking how to make a post on the message boards. I might be able to help you out on that.
I'd suggest you start by going to the New Recruits Meet & Greet forum and make a post to introduce yourself to the other CivilWarTalkers. When you go to that forum, you'll see a red bar on the right side of the screen that says "Post New Thread." If you click on that, another screen will open up, allowing you to make the first post in a thread. You can enter the title of the thread and then enter your message in the box below. Then click on the "Create thread" button at the bottom to create the thread.
