Four Oaks, North Carolina

  • Monument Name
Confederate Monument, Bentonville Battlefield, Four Oaks

The monument is a granite column with a broad trapezoidal base on which the names of the Confederate dead from the Battle of Bentonville are inscribed. The column is topped by a cannonball-like sphere. It marks a mass grave containing approximately 360 Confederates who died at the Battle of Bentonville, March 19-21, 1865.

In Johnson Co., N.C. Latitude: 35.3023 Longitude: -78.3201

Edit - Actually, it's in Johnston County. There is no Johnson County in North Carolina. However, since the link provided by the player in the following post confirms that you are spot on with the latitude and longitude, I will give you credit for a correct answer.
