Oh, I just watched a tour of Ft Donelson on YouTube with Ed Bearss as the host. Unfortunately the wind was up and drowned out quite a bit - and that ain't easy with his voice! - but it was very good. I wish I knew a tenth of what he has forgotten!

Ed does Indian wars tours as well as tours of WWII battlefields. He also has done Revolutionary War and War of 1812 battles. His most popular tour (5-6 times per year) is Booth's escape.

That's true. These days he may be a bit slower at bringing it back but it's all right there. What a filing cabinet he's got inside his head. Nobody can ask an obscure enough question, either - can't stump the old gent!
