I think you are ready for a real challenge Zuzah. You will have to figure what the real color of the union officer's coat is on your own I think he is the Union general Averell.
That's pretty god **** good. Actually the only thing I can 'complain' about is the suit color being a bit... fuzzy? Other than that I don't know if you added some color to his cheeks, but I can definitely see the realism.
I'm impressed - well done - I should've never taught you, you're going to surpass me.

Haha, thanks. Here's one of the others I have been working on. Its Captain Jesse Barnes of the 4th NC. I like how the face turned out, I added some color highlights in.
Well he had all my color codes for Photoshop so he didn't have to start all over. I could provide the same notepad file. But what I *think* Joshua is doing is using Soft Light aswell.

Amazing work by all...something I have to try one of these days...
Stupid question on my part, and please don't take offense, is it me or does the blue on the eyes seem a little too...bright blue? I wonder if they would look more natural if they were more of a gray blue like Joshua's Jesse Barnes picture.

I am using all the same blending modes. But I also for the second one had a layer with a reddish color, and then painted in with a lighter brush the areas I wanted to shade. I also used dodge and burn I believe.
