As I pointed out in post #6, above, it was made at a time when there was widespread public discussion about that possibility. I suspect that's one of the reasons D&C #87 ha been "adapted" over the years to "predict" other, later events. That sort of "cements" Smith's status as a "prophet".

Now that you say it, I found secret, unpublished photographs in my bathroom cabinet this morning (they used alien cameras). Reportedly Lloyd Lewis had tried to burn them. They show Zeti Reticuli hanging out in SC during the Nullification Crisis, probably influencing Calhoun. I asked my teddy bear, and he said they were real.

I've found the episode on the Roku website (I'm listening right now) and @R. Porter is right--they are trying to connect the Nullification Crisis and Joseph Smith. So far, apparently the aliens are emancipationists. At least we know they won't enslave us.
