Confederate staff button I dug

I've been after one for a while and on Saturday I finally dug one, a confederate staff officer button. It is a cuff and has no gilt but there are no flaws or pushes on it and it still has the shank

That is way cool. You must have some good digging spots. What type of site did that come from...camp, battlefield etc. ?

I also dug these items from the yard. One of them is a brass sword throat do y'all think it's confederate made?

It was a small Cavalry camp

It was a modern house with an old yard. Its most likely the army of Mississippi

Really good collection you amassed in your young career! The 105 plus heat index the last few weeks has certainly has added to the joys of collecting!

Apparently one of them drove a Jag XKE!

Geez that would be off a horse pulled Jag! Rara Avis for sure and highly valuable!

Just can't tell what comes out when digging in the dirt!
