Very interesting. I presume these are the "Greene County Riflemen." In his journal, Assistant Surgeon Thomas Fanning Wood wrote: Skinker's Co. "A" - 1863 Captain Albritton This company was one of the best in the Regiment. There was a greater majority of educated men than in any other. From its ranks its officers were generally selected. Walter Clarke, the excellent Regimental Ordinance Sergeant was chosen from it. Albritton's 1st Lt. was Lane, a very gentlemanly officer who was captured at Spotsylvania.
