BTW the cupola tour was great! Watch the movie and when Buford leaves the cupola he seems to go down the stairs/steps. The real Buford would have used a ladder. That was the only way to get up there in 1863. Love trivia like that!

Oh, I can see it now. 80 people reciting the movie at the same time. Someone needs to call Ted Turner. We may be able to convince him to finally spend the $ on "Last Full Measure". We can do it!

Just sitting here flipping through my @civilwarincolor calendar and realizing what a treasure it truly is. Check out the month of June which features a photo of Maj Gen "Little Billy" Mahone". An individual we came to know so well over the weekend. Now flip to July. Not only do we meet John L. Burns "The Old Hero of Gettysburg" but we also learn that Civilwarincolor's avatar is Private John Wesley Knott of the 6th North Carolina State Troops. Also check out August "Above Deck & Turret of U.S.S Monitor, James River, VA and then there's October, featuring a photo of George Armstrong Custer and Alfred Pleasonton. I am very looking forward to reading what occurred on each day of the calendar year. What a nice bonus to our weekend, one that will last all year long. Thank you @civilwarincolor !

Oh no, did I wear his? That's hysterical- like wearing your shirt inside out and no one tells you. Had been extremely hopeful my son could come. He'd been to another and loved it. Circumstances conspired against him that weekend, at least his tag got an airing!
