The commemoration ceremony of the surrender at Appomattox will be broadcast LIVE on CSPAN-3 on Thursday April 9th at 1:30 pm EDT and 8pm EDT. Another LIVE event will be aired Sunday April 12 at 1:00 pm EDT.

Book TV is LIVE from Appomattox Court House National Historical Park for a ceremony marking the exact time on April 9, 1865, that Generals Grant and Lee met at the McLean House to discuss terms of surrender.
