First post, long time lurker. I already own a P53 Enfield and I'm ready to add a Springfield to my arsenal. The musket doesn't need to be in impeccable shape - as long as it's serviceable.

What kind of 1816s?
l have 2 1816 contract springfields. They are original flints, not reconversions. One by Johnson (mfg. 1832) and the other by M.T. Wickham (mfg. 1828). Both have strong springs and function fine mechanically. Original stocks with cartouches. Proper barrel markings, original ramrods. They are ln really good shape.
