This may seem a waste of a thread but HAD to post another era ad from Library of Congress. Pretty addicted to the war's backdrop. Not ' just ' armies, camps, hospitals, horses and officers existing in some fantastic bubble al by themselves but the world in which it all took place. It's why ads and newspapers, clothing, homes and even gossip seemingly unrelated to the war are so interesting. Some things are interesting and well, just, plain bizarre. Copyright a 10 years post war, maybe shell shock......... ( sorry )

My late Mom was big O'Keefe fan, so I am a little more familiar with her work than the other famous painters of her era. Mom like flowers....

Georgia O'keefe makes me very uncomfortable.
I'm not sure how to feel about food that looks like it wants to fight back. At least Lewis Carroll's oysters just went running.

For my $.02, I am a big Georgia O'Keefe fan. I find her work provocative, never boring. The museum in Santa Fe is extraordinary, IMO.
