My gr-gr-grandmother field an application for widow's pension in 1909 - but due to some confusion - it wasn't grranted until Mar 1, 1913 - almost a year after her death. Would the lawyer invloved receive the pension or would they pass it down to her dependents at the time? Or - would it have reverted back to the state since she was deceased?

Unless there were minor children involved - in which case they would need to file for their own pension - no money would have been paid out.
