According to Robert Krick (ret.), Lee destroyed half of anything Wilcox wrote to him. Why?

I do not know. Gen Wilcox was a good general but there is nothing pointing to anything special between him and Gen. Lee on my brief overview of his military career.

Note: He never married. Maybe, they were love letters??

I do not know enough on about this one topic. Maybe, you can enlighten us with the theory of why.
