Recently, some of my posts as well as those of others have been removed from the Gettysburg forum and moved to forums totally unrelated to Gettysburg. I'm sure the admin has his reasons, but it seems to me that this forum attracts much more traffic interested in Gettysburg than forums such as Regimental Histories or Photos of CW Sites. I can't even find some of my posts anymore. It appears that others as well as I don't understand the rules as to what qualifies for a post on this forum. Please clarify what is acceptable on the Gettysburg Forum and what is not. Until I understand the rules clearly, I will suspend my posting here. Thanks to all the folks who have shown interest and commented and added to my threads. I've learned a lot through this forum.

Several of your posts have been contemporary photos of the battlefield. And this cool, but they don't belong in battlefield discussion.

If they are modern photos from the battlefield and are not discussing the battle I am moving them.

Like "here is a photo I took yesterday of spanglers spring, it's cool because I took it st Gettysburg"

It is being moved.
Or "Here is a photo of the PA Monument on the battlefield at Gettysburg"

It is also being moved to the contemporary photos of civil war sites.

If it is a photo of a the high water mark followed by a period photo and then discusses the significance of the high water mark and who was standing there and how it got its name and this was a turning point if the battle and so on it will stay in the battlefield forum.

I promote nearly every one of your posts contemporary photos or not. I certainly hope that me keeping my forum organized does not discourage you from posting.
