@Championhilz was able to find out the info below for me. Can anyone help me find out who here Father was? Thanks for any help.

Miss Elizabeth Frierson Crawford, Teacher Mezzo-Soprano, Voice and Piano, French and Italian Repertoire, Leschetizky Method of Piano Playing, Studio 1004 Elm, residence 2217 Thomas Avenue. There is also a Mary Crawford listed in the same directory living at 2217 Thomas Avenue.

Her mother was Emma Eldridge Frierson Phipps - her second husband was named William R. Phipps - unfortunately Findagrave does not have the name of her first husband who was a Crawford.

Thank you so much, its another piece put into this puzzle. Chas Crawford is Charles Edward Crawford. Now if I can find out why his daughter would send a Wheeler Cavalry Association ribbon back to the commander of that UCV organization.

There was another marriage record for Chas E Crawford, here, http://prntscr.com/jykvpp from Louisiana. Possibly the same man. The panic of 1873 might have had something to do with the marriage between him and Emma E. Frierson if it is the same man as they were married not long after in Nov. I believe the crisis began in Sept-Oct. It would explain to me anyways the age difference.

I'm seeing several newspaper articles showing Elizabeth F Crawford as one of several female representatives of the Texas UCV for a Confederate reunion in Birmingham AL in 1916.

There's also a brief obit that mentions she had been recently appointed sponsor of the Trans-Mississippi division of the Confederate veterans for the reunion that was going to be held there in May.

There's a Charles E Crawford that served in the 27th Louisiana infantry. He's also listed as C. D. Crawford so take that as you may. Two other Charles served from the state, one died in 1862 and another hade middle name J.

I am new at this site and enjoy browsing and learning about our past and all the different findings and stories. Okay, what was the panic of 1873? I did not learn this in school. Thank you in advance.

It was the great depression before the great depression, had a number of causes mostly if not all originating in NA and EU. The 60s and 70s were a turbulent time. American Civil War, German and Italian wars of unification and the effects of those events. I don't know enough about it to really inform you in detail. It lasted until the late 1870s
