I don't know anything about how the digital manipulation/tinkering with images may display facial hair, etc... I'm dumb with that kind of stuff.

Mike's says he's reversed the colors, so it's not a Confederate! Also, it's not Mackenzie or Gibbon (not in that particular photo anyway) because his buttons are in the groups of three that mark him as a major general. That much is evident to me.
