Was wanting some info and possible value of a wooden whistle supposedly made from wood from lookout mt battlefield. The gentlemen wants 30.00 for it. Is it a good deal? Thanks for your help

Whether or not it's a "good deal" depends on how much you want it.
From what you've told us, there is no way to tell whether it was made from wood from the battlefield. Is there any documentation, an old letter or something that tells more about its origin?

No documentation, looked up online and ive seen about 2 others that look exactly like this with lookout mt carved on the side of it

Looks like it was made as a souvenir for the tourist trade. Made locally and sold in the souvenir shops there - between the polished rocks and genuine walking sticks. I highly doubt it was made from any tree that was on the battlefield.
Buy the item, not the story.
