It's about time we do this again, dontcha think, Annie? ☕

I can't even tell you what a good idea that is, thank you Pam! Let me know when you'll be there and when it'd be handy for the geek with three cameras to tag along. And maybe another CWT friend can get a dog sitter and come along.

You can show me this bench although I'm not promising to sit on it. There would have been wounded in that barn in the background, who could sit?

That sounds like a terrific plan! Geeking out on the battlefield!

Okay, this pic was a tough one, and stumped everyone!

This is a bench on the front porch of the house on the Peter Baker Farm, along Baltimore Pike where Rock Creek crosses under the Pike, near Neill Avenue. In fact, it was on a Randy Drais and Dean Shultz tour of Neill "Lost" Avenue that I took the photo. Dean has meticulously renovated the Peter Baker property, which was part of the original land called Manor of Maske, which was given to William Penn in the 17th century (see the plaque on the wall above the bench). The bench was a pew from White Church, which is just down the Pike, and was used as a hospital during the battle, which means this bench/pew was more than likely used as a bed for wounded soldiers. According to Dean, he knew the Peter Baker family growing up, and that bench hasn't been moved from the porch since he was a boy.

Thanks for playing, everyone!
