Looks like De Trobriand Av. just due south of the wheatfield ...Rose farm grounds on the hill...??????Kurt you beat me with that answer by about 30 seconds
I haven't been there in 6 years , but I'm going back this fall (finally!) . I've been to Gettysburg about 20 times and have taken thousands of pictures and have spent many hours walking around some of the more obscure areas . I'm not sure if my answer is right , but I can't wait to get back and see Antietam and Harper's Ferry again .

Correct guys- That is definitely looking at Rose Run from De Trobriand Avenue. One of the more adventurous hikes is following Rose Run until you reach the Henry Fuller marker from this area. Thankfully the old trolley path saves you from that walk.

I had something unique happen on this post. Since I am a regular trivia player here, I constantly come back to CWT for the latest posts. This "where is post" was not yet posted. However I went to facebook and there was this post. I clicked on it and it opened a second CWT tab and the post was there. I go back to my original CWT tab and refresh it and still no where is post. I had to close my original CWT tab and reopen another to find this post. Now that was on my Ipad. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? What was unique, I looked at the What's New posts and new posts were appearing, but not this one. Strange?

Yes, it is Rose Run from De Trobriand Avenue at edge of the Wheatfield...looks like we need to put up tougher photos folks!!!

Personally, I hope someone gets the location correct every week. I play the CWT trivia game and I submit questions frequently (mostly Gettysburg). I could get devious and dig deep into my >100 book Gettysburg library and find a question source that would be difficult to find an answer which would commit each player to hours of googling. But I don't do that. I try to google my question before I ask it to make sure I can find the answer fairly quickly. My goal is to hopefully have the trivia players quickly learn a new fact thus avoiding a long google search.

Likewise, I hope that people who follow this thread will learn a new area of the battlefield and incentivize them to visit that area on a future trip. Some of us have been to Gettysburg many times and are members of Gettysburg Facebook groups where we like 100's of Gettysburg monument photos each week. So many of us are pretty good in identifying monuments. Many of us know battlefield features like this photo, but many times visitors are looking at monuments or the larger terrain landscapes and drive right by features such as this one. I think what you and Pam post are a great blend of where is it subjects. Some are just easier than others.

I have loved how the stone wall goes over the Rose Run culvert without a break. I always look at that as well as to look at poor Jed's marker to see how much more leaning is going on. Hopefully people will look for this area on their next trip. But I always stop at the Split Rock area on every trip as it is my favorite area on the field, so I drive by this area all the time.
