Chattanooga Wheeler's 1864 Middle Tennessee Raid

I lost alot of my research on this raid, but will load up what I can find here. The men and horses were all broken down at the start of this raid, having fought almost daily for over a hundred days towards Atlanta. Forage was non existent. As soon as they hit Tennessee many men split off to find food, forage and family before eventually rejoining their command, though some never made it back. They had little confidence in Hood.

These from Longacre's Cavalry of the Heartland. A good map to visualize the movements and if you have his book a good description.
