What is "Tautog"?

I am assuming "tautog" or, perhaps "tantog" is a food product, a half-ton of it. Can anyone enlighten me?

Thank you, sir. I should have found that myself. But, I first read it as "tantog," and googled that ... without results. Only as I was writing the post did it occur to me that "tautog" was the more likely reading.
