Proud M******* here. My brother once spent a grueling summer shoveling coal into the furnace on the cog railway. He said it was "Work like hell" on the way up and "sit back and enjoy the ride" on the way down. Our parents went to visit him at one point, and he was so black from soot that they didn't recognize him until he started to talk.

Lookout Mountain has an interesting incline railroad with a spot in the middle for the two cars to pass (up & down) and take photos of each other.
