Longstreet Welcome from the new host

When I saw that the General I most admire had his forum needing a host I know I had to volunteer. General Longstreet has been my civil war hero ever since I can remember I love studying and learning about the General. I have had the pleasure to visit his home in Gainesville Georgia and visit his grave and pay my respects. I hope we can all learn together and have fun together as we the supporters of General Longstreet join together to discover new facts about the general everyday.

Interesting fellow Gen. Longstreet. Graduated at the bottom of his USMA class. Lee called him his Old Warhorse. Became a republican after the War. Preferred the tactical defense and the strategic offensive. Married a woman in her early twenties when he as well into his seventies. I'd like to learn more.
