I am confused. The South imported a fair number of Webley revolvers from Great Britain during the Civil War, but when you do an internet search the information is difficult to comprehend. Some sites refer to the Webley/Bentley wedge frame revolvers and show a v ariety of types through the pictures. See http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...urce=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=gIVsUd3WAsGM2gWGqoDABg
Has anyone studied this in more detail?...and make sense of what was going on with these imported revolvers?
