Well this Foto Friday will be different than last weeks. This one is dedicated to those other historical markers that are generally posted on posts on an Angle so you human can read them. La Grange

This one is located in Brooklyn, NY, the resting place of my GGGrandfather George Washington Litton. He was captured at Dinwiddie Court House and sent to Harts Island POW camp were he died in May of 1865. He was a member of the 29th Virginia.

2 from the Chickamauga Campaign. Rock Springs Church and Peavine Church. Off the beaten path. Folks don't find these unless they already know they're there. Went to both on what I call "whirlwind Wednesday" when I flew in to Chattanooga for our 2018 CWT Chickamauga Tour. Quite a number of Confederate veterans buried in Rock Springs Church Cemetery. That was a great day.

My wife seems to feel that I have some type of magnetic attraction to roadside markers in that I can't seem to pass one by and she says the same thing every time that I stop to look at one: That she suffers from "Iron Disease" when she and I travel together.
