This recipe was in the "Kentucky Explorer Magazine", "Old Time Recipes To Enjoy". Thought be appropriate to make for George Washington's birthday, Feb. 22.

Washington Chowder

"Two medium sized potatoes, one and one half cups of water, one half small onion, one teaspoon of salt, one cup of stewed tomatoes, one cup of corn, one cup of milk, and one cup of cream.

They don't say why called Washington Chowder but just seemed right for today.

Happy Birthday George Washington.
