Was this true at Gettysburg?

Certainly- supernatural tourism is a big business today. And seems every "historic" city has a few ghost tours offered.

Seems a perfect venture- virtually no overhead costs. Just need to be a good storyteller.

And if you happen to own an abandoned prison……..$$$
Your wrong its needs to be a Lunatic Asylum but heck a prison is a good second choice.

Interesting thread. For those sceptics out there, this may be fun:

1.) A small group of us actually had the van that we were riding in hit / smacked by an object (like the palm of your hand). It first hit the side of the van, then it actually hit up UNDERNEATH of the van, and finally on the opposite side of the van (near the 'Loop' at Gettysburg),
2.) Later that night while driving up Culp's Hill, we actually seen a Civil War soldier in the road. He placed his hands on his hips / head turned as if he was saying, 'I told you to get out of here.' At that point, an older relative in the van said to everyone that we need to just go - someone or something doesn't want us here,
3.) Earlier that day, we were standing on top of Devil's Den & smelled tobacco smoke although no one else was around. Among our group, only myself and one other individual smelled it. Ironically, I was standing on one side of the group and this other individual was on the opposite side of the group (no one else in between smelled it and there was no one else around / no one below us that we could see. Yet, the tobacco smell was as if someone was right in front of us blowing tobacco smoke),
4.) A few years ago, we were driving through Culp's Hill on the battle anniversary date. It was about 9:30pm-ish and as we were driving around one of the bends, we had seen with the light of our car beams a lone Southern soldier going through the woods and simply vanish out of thin air. Totally freaked us out as it was completely unexpected as it was pitch black. In addition to the soldier, we just remember how truly dark it was that night (no moonlight, etc. If it was a reenactor, he sure was going quickly not knowing where to step on those rocks while wearing smooth bottom brogans),
5.) At the Triangular Field, we recall seeing a glowing reddish orange round ball (orb). Although it was bright red and reminded me of the sun, it didn't hurt your eyes to look at it. Although we kept our distance, we could clearly see that it was hovering / nothing holding it up,
6.) A few years ago, I had a pair of original war-used boots in my bedroom. They were heading to a museum to be on loan in a few weeks, but in the meantime, I just kept them in my room. Just as I was about to doze off to sleep, I heard a horse. I quickly shot up, looked outside, checked to see if a TV was on, etc. Nothing. This happened repeatedly over a period of weeks until the boots were finally transferred to the museum. Since the boots left my house, I have never heard the sound of horses in my room again. Ironically, when we dropped the boots off at the museum, the curator made a passing comment that one of their night security employees resigned because of too much activity at the museum at night. My first thought was (after recalling the film, Night at the Museum) was how well these boots will fit in perfectly there, lol. Interestingly enough, the boots are well documented at spending a lot of time on horseback...
7.) When travelling to a historic location, I've often had a few dreams the night before from when we visited it and dreamt exactly how the site looked prior to ever being there before.

You may say that those stories aren't true since there's no way to prove them. That's correct and I respect that. Yet, in our case, since we've had more than one person seeing the exact same thing, it proves that we're not making it up or only 'thought' we saw something. Why did we have so many experiences? I don't know. Just some people are just more prone to those type of things for some unexplained reason. The *key is to never invite anything by that I mean *never ever ask anything to show itself. That's only inviting evil. For every one positive entity; there are 10 negative entities. As the Bible says, 'The power of life and death is in the power of the tongue.' And, "if you confess with your lips (and believe in your heart) that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved." Your tongue is also like a small rudder in that such a small part can control the large ship. For Gettysburg, part of the reason why there may be so much activity is simply due to the large number of rocks (a conductor of electricity / energy). Anyhow, thanks for reading about our experiences.

A friend of mine went to London for the first time with her family. They didn't go to the Tower of London, they didn't see Westminster Abbey. They didn't bother with the treasures in the British Museum. But they spent two hours on a Jack the Ripper walking tour. That wouldn't have been my choice...
