im going on a trip this sunday for 10 days to Virginia. I will be stopping at bull run, appomattix, richmond, Virginia beach, feedricksburg, brandy station, and fort raleigh in NC. Does anybody have any suggestions about what civil war sites to visit that are by or in between these places. I will be at sailors creek and staunton river as well. Thank you for the help

Please check out the Traveler's forum on this site. Lots of great info. The Civil War Trust also has info you can look up by state or battlefield, and they link to many other sites with valuable info (they also have a lot of tourism-related info for going to those spots).

That is quite an itenirary. It would take a long time to list out all of the possibilities. I'll list a few:

While you're in the Manassas area, you could also hit Bristoe Station. There are a couple miles worth of trails there. While near Fredericksburg, you could also visit Chancellorsville, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania, and Salem Church. Those are all in close proximity.

For help with the Richmond area, check out East Ender's posts in this thread: http://civilwartalk.com/threads/report-from-gaines-mill.26677/page-2. There are many battlefields to visit. The Museum of the Confederacy/White House of the Confederacy, Tredegar, Chimborazo, Stuart's Mortal Wounding Monument, and Monument Avenue are just a few of the things worth seeing in Richmond. You should also make sure to go to Petersburg while you're in the area.
