Died October 6 1879, Leadville CO
Pre-War Profession West Point 1856, resigned immediately, student of mining engineering, drawing instructor.
War Service August 1861 Capt. in 16th United States, October 1861 Col. of 43rd New York, Peninsula campaign, September 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers - commission expired, commanded 3rd Bde/2nd Divn/VI Corps at Fredericksburg (w), March 1863 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, May 1863 resigned probably due to ill health.
Post War Career Professor of civil and mining engineering, mining engineer.
