Sorry,should have included the period pic. The Lewis cave is Vicksburg's most famous cave,thanks to the picture of it and Mr Lewis standing in front of it. Mr Lewis did not live in the house where the cave was located,but across the street. There was no hill on his property,so the family allowed him to have a cave constructed on their property.
