Veteran Reserve Corps uniform question.

I have seen uniform regulations for the Veteran Reserve Corps and have some uniform questions.

1. The enlisted men wore dark blue NCO rank on their light blue blouses. They were also allowed at times to wear dark blue coats, were dark blue NCO rank worn on their dark blue coats?

2. Did the officers dark blue shoulder straps worn on both their light blue frock coats and dark blue frock coats?

3. They wore infantry bugle insignia on their caps, were they all considered infantry?

I'm trying to remember which memoir I have that ends up in the Veteran Reserve Corps and describes their uniform and equipment. When I do I'' re-read and post.

My understanding is that enlisted men later were allowed to wear standard dark blue coats with light blue NCO rank .
Since the more disabled did non-combat duties and the less disabled could perform guard and provost duty I assume they would all be considered infantry .
