Utah as a Confederate state?

Slavery was legal in Utah Territory at the start of the Civil War, but calling Utah a salve territory might be mistaken as slavery was not a driving economic force in the territory. There were not many slaves.

During the Civil War the Union was suspicious of the loyalty of many of the people of Utah. Any chance that Utah would have asked to join the Confederacy?
