Update on Gettysburg Casino

In mid-November the PA Gaming commission will conduct hearings in which the four finalists will make their case for a single casino permit.

Final decision is expected early in the new year.

I wish I could make up my mind on whether they are protesting the casino for historical preservation reasons or if they are just anti-gambling....Just seems to me that its anti-gambling, what piece of the battle ground are they saving from being lost... Theres already a hotel there...

Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Assn supports casino

In a surprise move the GBPA announced that they were no in opposition to the casino. While not a ringing endorsement, the decision of the nation's oldest CW preservation group with a long history of protecting the Gettysburg battlefield, is a setback to the anti-casino supporters.

Thats what has me thinking, if the GBPA has no opposition to this casino whats the real reason that this other group does..
