Friends, here's an upcoming event that will show off and benefit the recent preservation activities at Averasboro and at Bentonville. Anyone who knows me, knows that these are some of my favorite battlefields. The battlefield at Monroe's Crossroads, which we will visit, is in the middle of Fort Bragg and gets very limited visitation as a result--perhaps a couple of dozen folks per year. Consequently, Monroe's is perhaps the most pristine Civil War battlefield that there is as a result.

This promises to be a tremendous event. I hope to see some of you there.
