Unnamed Confederate Batteries

I heard a couple of years ago that there were 1 or 2 Unnamed Confederate batteries on some of these islands. I was wondering if this was true or just an old tale.

According to this text, there were in fact Confederate batteries there.

Being that the batteries were placed in August of 1863, I'd recommend moving this thread to the South and West Theatres forum.
