I've read a whole lot about Quarntril, Anderson Ferguson but it's always seemed to involved.

So I was searching around online and found these three individuals. With the long arm and lack of elan in their clothing I'd say they were deserters. In the search however they came up as guerrillas.

Anyone know these there gentlemen or anything about dismounted partisans?

Interesting! When I was a baby we lived in Independence Missouri not far from Harry S. Truman's house. My mother would wave at him when he took his daily stroll.

The Wikipedia article mentions that outlaw Cole Younger was present when he was 18.
